Company name change for RSD

RSD is currently going through a period of change, where the company will be taken over by Rupert Rainsford Mann. The core team and services will remain the same and the new entity will be renamed Rainsford Mann Design (RMD). We expect to make a formal announcement at the end of April 2009.

Interior design completed for 27m catamaran

RSD is now completing the interior design for a 27m catamaran designed by New Zealand multihull exponent Craig Loomes. The client’s brief was to create a simple interior that projects a relaxing and calm atmosphere. We have created an eclectic mix in the style of beach house meets modern apartment with an emphasis on natural finishes and clean architectural detailing.

RSD partners with ICON yachts to design next 75m project

RSD has signed an agreement with ICON Yachts of Holland to take their hull platform and develop the next profile in the ICON range.
The expectation for this project is to complete the design by July this year to enable a launch at the Monaco Yacht Show 2009.

Abu Dhabi boat show review

Rainsford Saunders Design was pleased to exhibit at this year’s inaugural Abu Dhabi Boat show, held in the newly developed Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC). The three day event ran from the March 12th -14th and was opened by Abu Dhabi Sheikh Sultan Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority.
